Make it stand out.
Children of Nature
Children of Nature is a collaborative artwork that merges human, animal, plant and fungi - emphasizing our DNA similarities and oneness with nature. Thus far, the installation comprises around 100 hybrid porcelain figurines, placed in the formation of a ceramic fairy ring - a sacred space where viewers are encouraged to step inside and immerse themselves in the magic.
Children of Nature is more than just an artwork. It’s a community and a growing movement - with the aim to bring people together, reconnect us with nature and heal the deep parts of ourselves that have gone unhealed and unheard.
Scientific research has shown the profound healing benefits of working with the primordial medium of clay. As Children of Nature tours each location, workshop participants are invited to work with clay to adorn their own mushroom-inspired ‘child of nature’. Their sculptures will then be added to the next installation, resulting in a truly collaborative artwork and community that is not static but living and growing. Eve has also found that the sacred circle inspires people to stand up and share their voice.
“This is more like magic than art... made me want to cry and laugh and dance!”
At its heart the artwork is about the profound healing powers of nature, creativity and plant medicine. The work has been deeply shaped by the artist's personal journey - following her ADHD diagnosis, Eve embarked upon a life changing journey of trauma release through plant medicine, and out of this Children of Nature was born.
The roots of this artwork run deep - much like the mycelium that interconnects our world. However, despite its growing significance, Children of Nature has never received any public funding. Self-funded by the artist for the past two years, Children of Nature has taken on a life of its own, and has grown beyond Eve’s ability to support it alone. As such, Eve has launched a fundraising campaign to help bring this artwork to more communities.
Every contribution, big or small, is a vital step towards making Eve’s vision for Children of Nature a reality. We are deeply grateful for any support you can provide, but this is not just about asking for your contribution - it’s about welcoming you into the Children of Nature community. In appreciation for your support, Eve is happy to offer a range of rewards - from a virtual artist’s tour to your very own Children of Nature inspired artwork!
